We moved to Selsey from Cornwall and after trying several restaurants here thought nothing could even come close. Last night we went to the Lifeboat Inn and our meals equally matched the best in Cornwall. The quality, presentation and friendliness of all the staff - first class. Also I am Gluten Free and the choice for me was amazing. I would definitely recommend it.
Stopped by chance and were glad we did. Sat outside at shaded table. Crab sandwich was a generous size and very tasty. Steak sandwich was well cooked with a side salad and sweet onion relish. Main menu looked good too. Service was quick and friendly. We would happily return if in area.
Great pub not far from the beach with warm welcoming service. Good food, well kept beer and a lovely outdoor seating area. Good atmosphere. Spent a nice afternoon relaxing.
6 of us were travelling from afar and meeting at The Lifeboat for lunch. Traffic caused delay for part of the party and the pub couldn’t be more accommodating. Knowing we were on a tight schedule, they ensured our food was ordered and delivered as soon as the late comers arrived. The guy waiting on us was so helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this lovely pub near the sea front.
We had such a brilliant experience at The Lifeboat, thanks to Lauren K. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel so welcome and looked after us with genuine warmth and attention. Nothing was too much trouble — she was friendly, attentive without ever being intrusive, and made sure everything we needed was taken care of straight away. It really stood out how she went the extra mile for our family, creating a relaxed atmosphere and making us feel right at home. Service like this makes such a difference, and Lauren turned what could have been just another meal out into a memorable visit. We’ll definitely be back again soon, and Lauren is a big reason why!
Fantastic food with pleasant hospitality. Would love to revisit
Welcoming and friendly service, wasn't particularly busy nor was it empty. Food came in good time and was delicious!!!!! If I were to critique anything, I'd have to say dessert wasn't as fantastic as their mains. All in all, lovely meal and reasonably priced.
